Your download is already arranged for folding. Print each PDF page on one side of a sheet.
Our separate 8-page test includes TOP arrows and front/back labels. After folding, it should read 1–8.
If the back is upside down, check the duplex flip edge and driver orientation using the TOP arrows. Paper stacking varies by printer. For a single-sided printer, use its manual duplex feature and test first; a universal paper-reloading sequence is not provided.
THE FOUR-PAGE RULE
One folded sheet holds four reading pages. We add blanks at the end until the total is a multiple of four. Your original pages, including existing blanks, stay in order after folding.
A 7-page PDF becomes 7 source pages + 1 blank: 2 sheets, 4 PDF sides. “Blank added” labels only appear in the preview.
BEFORE YOU START
Use an unencrypted, static PDF in normal reading order. Each PDF page should be one reading page. Text, vector artwork, images and scanned pages are supported within local resource limits.
Forms, signatures, visible annotations, attachments, layers and unsupported actions are blocked. Export a static PDF from the original app first. Scans are not OCR-processed. Link interactions, bookmarks and accessibility tags are not retained.
Each sheet holds four reading pages: two on the front and two on the back. The first and last pages go together so that, after nesting and folding, you can read the booklet in order.
A folded booklet needs a multiple of four reading pages. We add up to three blanks after your last source page. Existing blank pages stay in place. If you need a particular back cover, prepare it in the source PDF and check the preview.
Divide the padded page count by four. A 7-page or 8-page source needs 2 sheets and produces 4 PDF sides. A 64-page source needs 16 sheets; thick paper can make a large stack difficult to fold.
Choose the paper you will actually put into the printer. A4 folds to 148.5 × 210 mm, usually called A5. US Letter folds to 5.5 × 8.5 inches. Each source page fits proportionally inside half a sheet, with no cropping or stretching.
No. The downloaded file is already imposed. Select one PDF page per printed side, landscape, and Actual Size / 100%. Applying Booklet or multiple pages per sheet again will change the arrangement.
Use your printer’s manual duplex feature, if available, and try the separate test file first. Feed direction and output order differ by device. This version does not provide separate front/back files or a universal reloading sequence.
This tool rearranges an existing PDF. It does not edit text, design covers, split scanned spreads, or combine files. Each source PDF page should represent one reading page.
No. PDF bytes, filenames, page contents and preview images are processed locally in your browser. Removing a file releases this page’s references. Your browser controls any copies you save to its download folder.
Adobe Reader also offers a Booklet print setting for an original, unarranged PDF. That is a separate workflow. Use Booklet on the original file, or print this tool’s already-arranged download one PDF page per side.
